The questions we care about don’t resolve in a product cycle, so we don’t organize research around one. Each program is a standing commitment — staffed for years, judged on understanding gained, not on what’s demo-ready this quarter.
Research is how we earn the right to build less.

Core to the Ring
Wearable Intelligence
Sensing and computation small enough to disappear onto the body.
The substrate beneath the Ring: low-power sensing, on-device inference, and materials engineering aimed at devices that ask nothing of the people wearing them. We treat battery life, thermal comfort, and signal fidelity as one problem, not three.

Human Intelligence
Understanding attention, cognition, and behavior over time.
Before technology can adapt to a person, it has to understand them — patterns of attention, energy, and decision-making that unfold over days and years, not sessions. This research grounds every product decision we make in how people actually think.

Medical Intelligence
Exploring how continuous signals could support a deeper understanding of human health.
Continuous physiological signals offer a different view than isolated measurements — and interpreting them responsibly remains an open problem. This program is early and exploratory: understanding what it would take to build an interpretive layer conservative enough to be trusted, before any of it becomes a product capability.

AI-native Computing
Systems designed for models from the silicon up.
Most computing platforms were built for deterministic software and later adapted for machine learning. We're exploring the inverse — architectures, runtimes, and interfaces designed from first principles for probabilistic, continuously adapting systems. This is longer-horizon infrastructure research for the intelligence we intend to build across DePixel.

Executive Intelligence
A longer-term application of the same research into understanding people, priorities, judgment, and sequencing.
The same research that lets the Ring understand a person well enough to stay quiet — noticing what's changing, what matters — applies to judgment and sequencing as much as it does to physiology. This isn't a separate product, or a current one: it's a future direction emerging from the same underlying intelligence research, should that research hold up.
03The First Crossing
When a program matures, it becomes a product.
The Ring is the first crossing from research into product. It exists today as a working prototype, built on wearable sensing and on-device interpretation. The research continues beyond it: toward deeper, more persistent understanding of the person wearing it.
